Prototype: Until 1993, yellow headlights were still a fixed requirement in France, as the yellow light is said to be less dazzling in fog and the visibility is more contrasting. Vehicles with yellow headlights were also common in Sweden. Especially in heavy rain, snow or thick fog, white headlights aim very little, it can even have the opposite effect and your own light is reflected.
